Hi Ajarn Ken,
Can you help me please. I know there are many ways to express the Future Tense. What is the Future Intention and when do we use it?
Thanks Ismal from Pakistan
For the Future Intention we use the words "going to".
We use the Future Intention when we have the intention of doing something in the future; usually in the near future.
For example, we can say, "At the moment, I am not taking the pen, but I am going to take the pen"
Another example is. "I'm going to watch television this evening" means I am intending or it is my plan to watch TV tonight
Other sentences using the future intention are: "Are you going to go to bed early tonight?", "No, I'm not going to go to bed early tonight" and "At what time are you going to eat this evening?"
